National Championships
This year our tent had a gold theme and thank you Brian and Gill Gallagher for setting it all up. It was good to welcome members, old and new, to help us celebrate GB’s fantastic Olympic results. When the teams paraded on Saturday afternoon those present were treated to champagne and a special London 2012 cake made by a friend of Karen Luetchford. Thank you also Pat Ross for once again making an apple cake.
Congratulations to Lucy Pincus and Sian Pritchard who were awarded the BDSC rugs for the highest placed members (who were not the class winners) in the Novice Open and Novice Restricted classes and also to Jo Hamilton and Heather Jeffers who were the class winners.

Hi Jane
We were all thrilled to bits with Heather’s win at the Nationals and hope that she can continue her success at the winter regionals and beyond. It was nice to catch up with you and fellow BDSC members at the championships, I always enjoy that aspect of the membership and my family members who came to the championships for the first time appreciated the friendly, welcoming atmosphere of the BDSC which of course they are renowned for!
